TODAY’S MEDITATION

MEDITATE ON THIS:

Faith is the only means by which men can please God. By faith we believe the promises of God and that His faithfulness will see us through. Just as “faith without works is dead” so are works without faith dead and worthless. (James 2: 14-26) We must see that a life of faith, lived in faith, and a life lived by faith is the only thing acceptable to our God. Many try to live their lives according to the acceptability of what others may think, to attempt to please or impress others with their carefully planned actions, but this is neither faith nor a life pleasing to God. Faith seeks ONLY to glorify God. There is a freedom in simple childlike faith that gives us liberty from the opinions of men, living solely for His pleasure. Wherever our level of development is in our faith walk, reveals how our life flows. Remember faith makes things possible, it does not make them easy. Trust God to see you through all situations and challenges. He is the God of  

 

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

“…for whatsoever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23)

“But Jesus beheld their thoughts, and said unto them, “With men this is impossible; but if they will forsake all things for my sake, with God whatsoever things I speak are possible.” (Mathew: 19:26)
