God’s Word instructs us to do ten things to develop the kind of blessed assurance no circumstance or situation can steal away:
Stay Calm (John 14:1-3)
Stay Connected (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Stay Compassionate (1 Peter 3:18)
Stay Constructive (John 13:35)
Stay Challenged (2 Peter 3:14)
Stay Centered (Colossians 3:1-4)
Stay Confident (2 Timothy 4:1-2)
Stay Consistent (1 John 2:28)
Stay Committed (James 5:7-8)
Stay Convinced (Romans 13:11-14)
The process may be confusing as the call to action is to “STAY!” Not stay as in “I give up,” but stay as in “I will never give up!” As you can see from this list, stay doesn’t mean to sit around helplessly, waiting without acting. In Scripture we find that God uses stay to mean just the opposite: “Go. I’ve told you to do something. Keep doing it! Stay strong. Stay the course.”
