TODAY’S INSPIRATION: YOU ARE WORTHY!

Have you ever felt that you were not worthy? Worthy to be loved, respected, or appreciated? Maybe you think your past makes you unworthy or your status in life makes you believe you are not good enough. Have the thoughts entered your mind that I am not smart enough or gifted enough. Have you ever believed that your appearance
did not fit what the world considers beautiful? Most of us women have
felt this way at some point in our lives. And for those who are feeling
this way or have ever felt this way, I want to remind you of or perhaps
introduce to you for the first time, Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba,
four women mentioned in the genealogy of Yeshua (Jesus). And although I was inspired by the spirit to address this to women, the message applies to men as well. In their day and in today’s standards these women were far from what the world would call worthy and
certainly not qualified to be in the genealogy of Jesus.

“And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of
what was spoken to her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:45)

We will begin with Tamar (Genesis 37), who resorted to deception and prostitution to produce children through her father -in-law. Yet, it was
from her line, the tribe of Judah that the Messiah came. Rehab (Joshua 6) was a Gentile and a prostitute in Jericho. She became a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. She also was the mother of Boaz, who married Ruth. Ruth was morally a good person, but she was a Moabitess, a Gentile and was considered unclean. (The Book of
Ruth). Yet, Ruth became the grandmother of David whom the Jews
regarded as their greatest King. And then last but not least, there is
Bathsheba, who committed adultery with King David. (2 Samuel 11-14)
She gave birth to King Solomon from whose royal line Jesus descended. I am not judging these women, but I urge you to read their stories because there is a message for us all. It tells us that when God looks at us, He doesn’t focus on what we can’t do, what we have done
in our past, or how we look. He sees us through His Son, Yeshua who is the source of our worthiness as He redeemed us from sin and restored our relationship with God. Through His grace and sacrifice, we are made worthy, not by our own actions but by His love and mercy.

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and
gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his
height, for I have rejected him The Lord does not look at the things
people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord
looks at the heart” (Samuel 16-7)

This is why sometimes the individual whom God chooses not only surprises the world but also surprises the one chosen! All through the scriptures we find that it is God who does the empowering, and qualifying of His people. Worried about your past sins! They have been washed away by the blood of Jesus. Yahweh is saying that He is greater than our sins. Because His grace is greater than our sins, even
when the world disqualifies us, He can qualify us to receive much more than we ever deserved. Worried that you have fallen short? God is saying that He is a God of second, third, and many chances. The four women’s stories show us that even when our troubles they do not
have to be neither final nor fatal. Even when all our earthly connections give up on us or leave us, God does not and He can turn things around instantly. He can make what we thought was the end,
our beginning. Our future becomes better than our past. Our pain becomes joy. What we lost is restored. That is the God we serve! If we focus on our natural circumstances we can become discouraged. But if we look at our God and trust in Him, He can make the impossible possible. Fear does not get to dominate our life. Discouragement does not get to keep us down. And sin does not have the authority to rule over us. The bible says that those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness “will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Reigning isn’t something we achieve. We reign, not because we are so strong, beautiful, or smart, we reign because
Jesus has already given us an abundance of grace and His gift of righteousness.

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, according to the riches of his grace.” (Ephesians 1:)

“And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he
called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.”
(Romans 8:30)

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

When we understand that we are worthy because of Christ it will
change how we view ourselves. We will embrace our identity in Him
and not in who the world says we are. Failures and setbacks in this life
will not keep us down or discouraged to the point where we give up or stop because we know our purpose and our destiny in Christ. I encourage you to know whose you are and who you are, then you will know your worth and can confidently declare that brighter days are ahead! Love and Blessings…

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works
are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14
